On April 23rd Josh and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary! Time has flown by and I love him more and more by the day, he is the most amazing husband and father, Zoey and I are so blessed to have him in our lives! He is a hardest working man and I am so grateful to have all the amazing stuff we have and the things we get to do because of his dedication to us and his work! I love you babe and I love that I get to grow old with you! You are my forever!!!!

Zoey had her 4 year checkup and she has grown so much!

She weighs 38lbs (75% tile)
Height 40 inches (50% tile)
She passed her eye test and has amazing eye sight so no glasses for this girl!
She also had her first dentist appointment...yes I know I am awful that she is 4 and just barley had her first one but it was great news she has no cavities and she brushes good! It is crazy seeing how fast she is growing up and how smart she is! I love this little girl so much!!!

Here is the new addition to our family, she is a Sheltaranian which is a Sheltie/Pomeranian mix and we got her when she was 9 weeks old, she is the cutest little puppy! Josh and I were suckered into getting her though, Zoey wanted a puppy for her birthday and we refused but 4 days after her birthday when I rolled up her finger in the window she said she wanted a puppy again to make her finger feel better and look what we got two days later! I guess Zoey won lol but Mocha is a great dog and we are so happy we got her!!!

On March 24th I was staying at my sister in laws house watching my niece and nephew while my in laws were in Vegas. Well I had all three kids in the car and I took my niece to her dance practice so me Zoey and Tytan waited in the car while she danced. Once she was done and I got everyone all buckled up I put the car in reverse and rolled up Zoey's window and I heard the most painful scream I have ever heard come from Zoey! I looked back and saw I rolled her finger up in the window and so I rolled it down and got out to see what the damage was which I didn't think would be too bad because I have rolled mine up when I was younger but I was way wrong it was a mess, blood everywhere and her finger looked like the tip was going to fall off!!! I went into panic mode and for everyone who knows me I have a weak stomach when it comes to blood so I am so thankful that one of the moms who's little girl dances with Myameerae ran over to help. I almost passed out so I am so happy she was helping with Zoey until I got my nerves under control! Next she took all the kids for me while I ran Zoey up to the Emergency room thank goodness they could get us right in and there was not a wait! We had X-rays done on her finger and they had a plastic surgeon come in who works on hands and he told us she broke her growth plate in her finger and the plate popped threw her nail bed and they would have to sedate Zoey so they could clean it out place the growth plate back in place and stitch the sides of her finger where the skin tore. Also since she tore her nail bed they had to remove her finger nail and place it back in it's original place so the new nail would hopefully grow back in the correct placement so they sewed her fingernail back on her finger! The hand surgeon was amazing and we were so thankful they had him come in to take care of her! We had to have a finger splint on for 6 weeks until the break was healed. Here are some pictures of her poor finger. Yesterday we took her to her last check up appointment and she doesn't have to wear the splint anymore and everything looks like it is healing great, her nail fell off and the doc said it might take about a year for a new normal nail to grow back so lets hope I didn't leave her with a crippled finger for the rest of her life! I felt like the worst mom ever and who would have guessed rolling her finger up would do that so always check to make sure there are no little fingers in the way before you roll the window up!!!

This is after it happened up at the ER, I am not too sure what was sticking out of the cut but it was disgusting!!!

This was 1 week after the accident, still swollen and icky.

This was last week after her nail fell off, lets hope her finger grows a new nice nail and it looks normal again!

So March 20th was Zoey's 4th birthday, holy crap time has flown by! For her birthday we took our family and our closest friends to Boondocks for bowling, games and the kiddie cove, the kids had a blast!

Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged I always forget to get online and update it!
We just got Zoey in dance and she loves it, she is in the tiny Jazz class of 3 and 4 year olds. She is so dang cute and I can't wait for her first dance performance. She is pretty good but she has a short attention span she likes to dance to her own drum and she talks through the whole class I always tell her to keep quite and listen to the teacher but she likes to drive the teacher nuts with questions and ideas, I feel bad but at the same time it cracks me up! Here are a couple pics of her first day!

Wow I can't believe tomorrow is going to be Zoey's birthday and she is going to be 3! It is crazy to think that just three years ago I was laying in a hospital bed with 40 hours of labor before having a emergency c-section to have this amazing little girl! I figured with how stubborn she was on not coming out that she would be stubborn once she got here but we were completely wrong. Zoey is so amazing, she is funny, smart, patient, well behaved and beautiful. We couldn't ask for a better little girl and I could go on and on about how wonderful she is! We love you so much baby girl and we hope you have the best birthday ever!!!

Well here is my work so far! Now I gotta get vinyl designs for her walls made, below are the designs she will have on her walls. My friend Amanda has her own company so she is making them for me, I am so excited to see how they turn out! She is making me a five foot tree for one wall and three bird cages for another and we are going to make a bunch of pink birds for the walls that match her comforter! I can't wait!!!

The leaves on the trees are going to be pink instead of green!

New change for Zoey's room!

So I am feeling the need for a change...I was hoping the next room I would be decorating would be a new baby nursery but Josh is not ready for another baby so I am going to move Zoey's room into the toy room since it has white walls and start from scratch and have a blast painting it the way I want, (a black accent wall) hehe I am sure Josh will love that!!! I found this baby nursery online and I love the colors and decor so I am going to copy a lot of stuff from it and I found this bed set from Target that matches the room! What do you think?

For New Years we went down to Mesquite, it was a nice weekend away! The weather was almost 60 everyday and that was such a nice break from this cold weather! We went swimming in the heated pool everyday. I am so proud of Zoey, she is finally kicking around and swimming with water wings on by herself, great job baby girl!

I have trimmed Zoey's hair before but the other day we took her into Cookie Cutters to get her hair cut! It is so cute, the only sad part is that all her curls are gone now, when she was little she had such curly hair and the longer it has grown the more it has straightened out so now Zoey is officially curl free :(

Kristen, Kaycee, Kami and I went to Teppanyaki for dinner and to see The Time Travelers Wife for Kami's birthday! We all needed a girls night out and a movie the guys wouldn't want to see! The movie was so good and of course we all cried in it haha! I love these girls so much I don't know what I would do without them, they are amazing!!! Thanks for a great night out girls! This weekend we went camping with our friends at Pineview, it was such a nice weekend! Zoey had a blast there, playing in the mud, riding the wave runners and playing with the kids, we love that we are able to take her somewhere every weekend and let her try all the things we love to do!

Josh and I took Zoey to the alpine slides in Park City, it was so fun and she loved it but got very impatient on the ski lift because it took so long to get to the top of the mountain!

4th Of July Weekend

We had the best fourth of July weekend, it was crazy and very busy but really fun! Friday we had the Eaglewood fireworks which we always attend but first my mom does a dinner at her house which was so good, she made homemade mexican food, Yummy, then off to the golf couse!!

Then Saturday morning we left for Crystal Springs in Honeyville, we heard it was a lot of fun there so we were really excited to take the girls, well when we pulled up we realized it was nothing great at all, it was so dirty looking and kind of a dump so we sat there for a hour or so deciding if we should stay there and calling other rv parks trying to find something available on the fourth of July. Well of course nothing was available so we decided to just drive around and find a camp ground somewhere, so we went for a little road trip and started heading towards Logan (don't mind we were in a 1980 something old rv that we were not sure if it would make it up the canyon, haha)
Well we drove all through logan and the canyon and could not find anything we liked or anything available so next thing we know we are at Bear Lake. We went to the Koa Kamp and they almost laughed at us when we asked if they had a spot and answer it is fourth of July weekend we have nothing available. So we went over to a new place that just opened and they had a spot for us with full hookups and right next to their cute playground!!! YAY!!! We finally found something after 6 hours of stop and go driving trying to find somewhere. We had so much fun, the kids loved the playground and we went for a walk to the main road in Bear lake and got a raspberry shake!

On Sunday we drove home and decided to go to Kristen's grandma's pool and go swimming since we didn't get to go swimming while camping! What a great weekend, we had a blast and thanks Jason for driving us all around in the Beast!!!

I can't believe our family reunion has come and gone already, it was so much fun and I wish we could have had a couple more days to camp out! It was so great seeing everyone! It is so fun seeing all of us cousin's all grown up with our own kids now, they are so cute and it totally reminds me of when I was little, time flies by! Here are some cute pics of our fun weekend!

We did have a little accident, Zoey was running around and watching Kya ride her bike and Zoey trip and hit her eye right on the pedal of her bike, thank goodness it got her eyebrow it was so close to her eye and that would have been a lot worse! It was a pretty good goose egg and now we have a nice little black eye!

Jessica my cousin and I have had so much fun so far this summer, we are determined to get the girls together at least once a week and take them out and have some fun, NO bumming around at home this summer we have to get out of the house! here are a few pics of our fun play dates!

We took them to the Discovery place at Gateway, this is such a fun place, it reminds me of the children's museum I used to go to when I was little!

I am so happy to have my cousin Jess so close to me, we have so much fun together and it is nice knowing our girls get along so good and love each other!

Zoey's surgery

On Friday we took Zoey to Primary Children's Hospital to have tubes put in her ears and to have her tonsils and adenoids taken out. Her tonsils are so big that when she sticks her tongue out they touch! When we checked into the hospital they gave her cute little scrubs to change into and then gave her a type of Valium for kids to relax her before they took her into surgery. Wow I can't believe how fast that kicked in, we were in the play area and she started to walk all funny and slumped over. We had to watch her very closely because she was so loopy. She started drooling and kept touching her nose, it was so hard not to laugh but it was so funny seeing Zoey so mellow and out of it because she has so much energy. Finally the nurse came in and we put Zoey in a wagon and we walked her as far as they would let us go and we gave her kisses goodbye. When I kissed her goodbye she said "Bye mama I love you" it was way too cute and she let them pull her in the wagon away from us with no fuss, thank goodness for that medicine to calm her!!! A half an hour later they called us back to the post op room and I went back to comfort her while she was waking up. Zoey was freaking out because she had an IV in her arm and she wanted it out so they had to wrap her arm all up so she wouldn't rip it out! It is crazy, we found out that they use lasers to remove the tonsils and cauterize the wound shut so there is no bleeding and no stitches which is great!!! Once she kept fluids down for a hour we got to take her home, it was so nice to know everything went great and we we finally got this over with! You did a great job Zoey and we hope this will help with all the past problems~

Paradise!

Me and Josh had the greatest vacation to Cancun! We got there on Sunday night around seven and from then on we had nothing but relaxation! We layed by the pool everyday and had nice sit down dinners every night. The hotel we went to was all inclusive so all our drinks and food were free, it was great! There were buffets for all the meals and there were 4 different restaurants on the property that were so good! We had free room service any time of the day and a fridge in our room stocked with drinks, I couldn't ask for more. We stayed at our resort everyday but one night we took a shuttle out to the Cancun hotel zone where all the big dance clubs are and walked around and had dinner at chili's, it was amazing the restaurant was right on the beach so we sat out on the deck and while we waited for our food we went out on the beach and took some pictures, it was beautiful!!! We totally scored on our way home from Cancun because we were originally supposed to fly out of Cancun at 4pm and have a layover in Arizona and then not get home until 11pm that night but when we went to the Cancun airport they said the plane was overbooked and they had a couple spots available on another flight which left and hour earlier and it was a straight flight now so we got home by 7, it was great to get home while Zoey was still awake since we missed her so much. So we had the best vacation and can't wait until one day when we can take Zoey to a nice resort like this!

So I thought I would write a little post saying Adios amigos...We are leaving for Mexico in the morning and wont be back until Saturday the 25th. As many of you know I am a stay at home mom and spend every moment of my day and nights with my baby girl Zoey so this is a much needed vacation but it has been hard knowing I am not going to be with her for seven days!!! Wish me luck on making it through this week without a bunch of melt downs and crying moments, it is going to be hard without her. On the good note though I am so super excited to be with my sweet husband and relax on the beach with a cervaza. It is a special week too because while we are down there we will have our 4 year wedding anniversary so happy anniversary to us!!!! Here is a pic of us in Mexico on our honeymoon in 2005!! and p.s. We love you Zoey and we can't wait to give you hugs and kisses when we get home xoxo.

We had such a great Easter weekend, it is so fun seeing how excited Zoey is with dying the eggs and Easter egg hunting. Here is some pictures of us dying the eggs, it was so messy but she loved it!

On Saturday me and my mom took Zoey to a Easter egg hunt, it was cold but Zoey had a great time!

On Easter Sunday Josh took us to breakfast and then we went and visited Grandma and Grandpa Lira which she got so spoiled, she got the cutest basket!

After my parents house we went to Josh's parents house and had a Easter egg hunt for the girls and had Easter dinner. After dinner the girls went on a ride on Aunt Neely and Uncle Beau's rhino, Zoey loved it she didn't want to get off. Maybe one day me and Josh can own one of these, they are so much fun! Thanks to everyone for all the cute stuff you got Zoey she loved it! Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Today was Zoey's two year old check up, so she got the regular stuff done plus we found out her sickness is just a virus going around so hopefully she can get rid of her cough soon! She also has an ear infection in both ears, what a bummer, this is her ninth one! I didn't even realize she had one, she has not had one since Oct. so we thought we were in the clear but now we have to have her take antibiotics again and if it does not clear up getting tubes will be a consideration.
Zoey is 34 1/2 inches long (75% tile) and 27.1 lbs (60% tile) so she is skinny and tall which is great, hopefully she will be taller than me one day, it sucks being short. She only had to have one shot today which was very good and we don't have another checkup until she turns three!
Zoey passed all the things that a two year old should be doing which is great! She is walking up and down the stairs without crawling and holding onto the railing, she can jump with both feet off the ground, she can dress and undress herself and she is starting to talk up a storm, her favorite things to say is "How are you doing" and she shakes your hand, and "Oh MAN", she is super cute! After her shot she was treated with a sticker and a sucker, she was much happier once she got those!!!

Zoey's Birthday

So I am a little slow on this post because we have been so busy and Zoey has been very sick. On Friday the 20th it was Zoey's 2nd birthday! I can't believe she is two already, the second year flew by and it is so crazy to see how much she has changed and grown! Zoey is the silliest little girl and she has the cutest little personality but she also has a temper....terrible twos are really terrible like they say, but it is all worth it.

Here are some pictures on how much she has changed over the last two years. I love this girl so much and I am so thankful to have such a healthy beautiful amazing little girl, and we can't wait to see how much more she is going to change this year. We love you baby girl and happy birthday!!!

The other night we were at our friends house and the kids fell asleep so we decided to get in the hot tub, well Josh had to be to work early the next day so he decided to go lay by Zoey while we all got in. When we got out I went into the room to wake him up so we could go home and This is what I found!

Zoey is such a crazy sleeper she cannot stay in one spot, she is known to fall out of her bed many times too because she moves around so much. The funniest thing about this is that Josh didn't even feel her foot go into his face, what a deep sleeper!

This Saturday we had Zoey's birthday party with our family and all of her little friends that she loves so much! It turned out so great, it was so nice outside so we were able to play outside with her new toys! Grandma and Grandpa Lira, Uncle Damian and Aunt Summer got her a swing set and some other cute stuff, her grandma and grandpa Hammond got her a little play house and Aunt NeNe and Uncle Beau got her a sand box with all the fun toys to use in it! It was so fun seeing her play with all her friends, she is so big!!! we had a sponge bob theme party because Zoey is in love with that show. Zoey did a lot better with the cake this year she loved it and ate the whole piece unlike her first birthday she freaked out having frosting on her hands and wouldn't eat it! Thanks to everyone who came and for the cute stuff she got you all did way to much! Here are some cute pictures of her fun night!!!

Jazz Game

Josh and I had the best date night ever last night! We got Jazz tickets and went to the game. Josh works on a couple of the Jazz players cars and Darren Williams gave him the tickets for the game and thanked him for all of his hard work he does for him. So we get there and his assistant hands us the tickets and they were on the second row off to the side of the jazz bench, it was amazing!!! The tickets valued at $477.00 a piece I was dying, it was something we could never afford on our own so it was so fun seeing how excited Josh was because he is obsessed with the Jazz. I am so dumb I forgot my camera I was pissed because we were so close I could have gotten some really good pictures but we did take a couple of pictures with Josh's phone to prove how good they really were.

We had an amazing time in New Orleans for New years, it was such a change from where we normally go on vacation but it was a blast! I have never walked so much in my life, everywhere is in walking distance and with the traffic there it was much faster to walk. Bourbon street was exactly what I was expecting, crazy people, bars everywhere and lots of beads, we spent most of our time there. The best part of the trip was the Utah game, and YES we kicked Alabama's butts!!!! It was funny we were so out numbered it was easily one of us to one hundred of them and they talked crap but once the game was over UTAH Took over the streets and their fans were know where to be found! GO UTES!!!! I will get some pictures posted on the next blog!

So I am very excited to say that Josh and I are going to the Utah Vs. Alabama Football game for New Years! I can't wait it is going to be so much fun going to New Orleans for New Years and to see our favorite team play in the Sugar Bowl. Only 22 more days and we leave....Yippee!

Kristen and I took the girls to the Pumpkin stand to pick out some pumpkins to carve and to hopefully get some cute pictures of the girls in their costumes... all I can say is Zoey does not know how to cooperate. I took so many pictures and I only got a few good ones, she is such a drama queen and does not want her picture taken. She is a cute little butterfly and Madison is a pumpkin fairy!

The Circus

Thursday night Josh got us tickets to the circus, it was so much fun taking Zoey and for the most part she loved it, I still think she is a little bit to young but next year will be perfect. Her favorite part was the elephant act, they were so cute! Here are a few pictures of our fun night.

So last week I got a text from my friend Kami saying our friend Erin was in town and wanted to go to dinner, so we all met at Olive garden, I was so excited to see Erin because I have not seen her since her baby Shower. So not only did Erin come but she surprised us with Amy our friend that we have not seen in over two years! It was so great that we could get together since we have all been friends since Jr. High! I love these girls so much!!!! Amy now has two kids, a girl named Elsa and a boy named Jax, Erin has a little girl named Harley, Kristen has a girl named Madison and I have Zoey, wow I can't believe we are moms! Come on Kaycee and Kami jump on the band wagon, lol. There was one friend missing that was part of our group of girlfriends, Brennan and her daughter maren, hopefully we can all get together again and she can be there! Here is a picture of us girls!

So as you all know I can't stand Zoey to be messy so I am always good about keeping her clean, Not anymore! Zoey has decided to take matters into her own hands, she hates me to help her eat so I just let her go at it and this is what I have to deal with lol. And to make things worse she loves spaghetti o's which are basically the messiest food alive and it stains like no other, oh well I guess! Hope you all enjoy while I cringe!

Quirks

Quirk #1... I have to wash my face with my proactive every single morning and night, if I fall asleep with my makeup on I wake up pissed off lol.... what a way to start the day.

Quirk #2... I make sure Zoey is perfectly clean and all dolled up all day even when we are just home. I love her hair to be done, have her in a cute outfit and I never let her spill on herself, if so I change her right away! I am a freak and no I am not like this with myself!!!

Quirk #3... I share a quirk with Kara too, I check my locks on the doors all day and night, I hate when my doors are unlocked, I just don't feel safe.

Quirk #4... I make sure every single set of blinds are closed before going to bed, I get all freaked out if I think someone can see in!

Quirk #5... I twirl and play with my hair every second of the day... for everyone who knows me it has been like this since I was little, it is my worst habit and now Zoey is starting to twirl her hair too, ha ha josh in your face!

Quirk #6... When I am excited for something I can't hold still, I can't stop smiling, I pace around maybe do a little dance, jump up and down lol I am like a little kid :)

I had such a great weekend, I went with my family to our cabin and just relaxed all weekend! It was just me, Zoey and my parents for the first two days and then Josh, my brother, summer and our friends came up later! It was so nice just staying in our pj's and lounging with no makeup all weekend :) Here are a few pics!

So at least two times a week Zoey and I go to the swimming pool, we love the sun! She is my little laying out buddy. In these pictures we are at the Bountiful rec. center it is the best place to take little kids.
